Print Server Properties in Windows 7

Rob Bussell

July 29, 2010

In Devices and Printers: Single click any printer and the Print server properties will appear above in the same menu bar as "Add a printer".  Once you click Print server properties you can remove unwanted printer drivers from the Drivers tab.

Note:  To remove a printer driver in Windows, you must first delete the printer.  To delete a printer, you must first delete all print jobs in the queue.  If the printer is deleted and you receive an error message stating the printer is in use or cannot delete printer, you must restart the Print Spooler.  To restart the Print Spooler: Right-click Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services > Right-click the Print Spooler and select Restart.
