If the Sharp is setup for account codes, you will most likely need to enter a valid account number
in the printer driver in order to print.Note:
Depending on the installation method and/or potential firewalls, you may need to know the IP address of your Sharp
if it is connected using an Ethernet cable.
See PDF below. (For most Windows versions)
Note: If installing a USB driver (GDI), select "Custom Installation" or "Connected to this computer" instead of "Standard Installation" (see page 4 of the Microsoft PDF at bottom of the page). Make sure the USB cable is NOT plugged in until told to do so by the installation program. If you had the USB cable plugged in and ran the Setup.exe, you must go to the Control Panel > Add Remove Programs and uninstall the Sharp, reboot the computer and reinstall the printer by double-clicking Setup.exe (USB cable unplugged). If the printer will not install, right-click Computer (or My Computer) > Properties > Device Manager > Other - Uninstall the PCI Memory Controller. Then run the installer package again (setup.exe) and connect the USB cable afterwards.
