Printers are not detected on Macs and no printers appear in the list to add a printer manually

Issue:  When installing the printer and then going into the Add a printer function, it does not detect the printer driver. When selecting the printer manually, there are no printers in the list. The list is completely empty.

Rebooting the computer should fix this. If it does not cmd alt p r will restart the PRAM and should fix the issue.
